OM612 Engine EGR’s are more Rare, and we get what we get, but we stand behind them with warranties, and easy returns. Yes, the EGR is a nitrogen oxide (NO_x) emissions reduction technique used in petrol/gasoline and Sprinter 2.7L diesel engines. EGR works by recirculating a portion of an engine’s exhaust gas back to the T1N Sprinters engine cylinders.

Generally on your 2001-2006 Sprinter Van , its Check Engine Light comes on to tell you that you have EGR problems. If your T1N Sprinter Van has engine performance issues then your EGR could be bad as well.
