4 or 6-Piece Window Insulation Set for 118″ Wheelbase Sprinter Vans (2002-2006) installation guide
Installation Instructions for 4 or 6-Piece Window Insulation Set
What You’ll Need:
- Your window insulation panels
- Velcro tabs (included in your kit)
- Clean cloth or alcohol wipes (for surface prep)
Step 1: Prepare the Windows
- Clean the Surface:
Use a clean cloth or alcohol wipes to thoroughly clean the interior edges of each window where the Velcro tabs will be applied.- Ensure the surface is free from dust, grease, or moisture for the best adhesion.
- Dry Completely:
Allow the cleaned area to dry completely before proceeding.
Step 2: Attach the Velcro Tabs
- Locate the Velcro Tabs:
Lay out the Velcro tabs included with your kit. Each insulation panel will have corresponding spots for these tabs. - Apply the Velcro Tabs:
- Peel off the adhesive backing from one Velcro tab.
- Stick it firmly onto the cleaned window surface. Place tabs around the window frame at even intervals (corners and sides).
- Press and hold each tab for about 30 seconds to ensure a secure bond.
- Repeat for All Windows:
Continue attaching Velcro tabs to all windows that will have insulation panels installed.
Step 3: Attach the Insulation Panels
- Position the Panel:
Align the corresponding insulation panel to the window. Each panel is custom-fit for a specific window, so double-check placement before securing. - Secure the Panel:
Press the insulation panel onto the Velcro tabs, ensuring a snug fit. Start from one side and work your way around, smoothing the edges to prevent gaps.
Step 4: Adjust and Fine-Tune
- Check for Fit:
Ensure the panel covers the entire window with no exposed gaps. Adjust slightly if necessary by repositioning on the Velcro tabs. - Test for Security:
Gently tug on the panel to confirm it’s securely attached.
Step 5: Storing the Panels
- Remove for Storage:
When not in use, simply peel the panels off the Velcro tabs. - Roll and Strap:
Roll the panels tightly and use the included straps to secure them for easy storage. - Store in a Dry Place:
Keep the rolled panels in a safe, dry location to preserve their condition.
Tips for Best Results:
- Install the panels when the vehicle is at room temperature to ensure adhesive Velcro sticks effectively.
- Recheck the adhesive Velcro tabs periodically, especially in high-temperature or humid conditions.
- Clean the panels with a damp cloth if they accumulate dirt or dust over time.
Your insulation panels are now installed, providing enhanced temperature control, privacy, and security. Enjoy your improved van experience!
